UK transport spending exceeds the OECD peer average

Annual transport infrastructure investment as a share of GDP (2015 to 2023 average)

Most countries above the UK are post-2004 EU accession economies catching up on infrastructure. The ‘OECD peer average’ is based on a PSM of countries with similar macro indicators. It consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and Spain.
